MAVERICK & COMPANY is a small but feisty company based in Denver CO. Founded in 2004, we provide services to both individuals and companies through our classes, coaching and customized training programs. We like to say we are in the business of making problems go away. We work with clients from Toronto to Texas, California to Capitol Hill. We like long walks on the beach and the way winning feels. We consider ourselves realistic optimists. We like to know precisely how big the challenge is and then go for it any way. We work with people we like, work for companies we believe in and generally have a great deal of fun.
MAVERICK...
ALECIA HUCK is also small but feisty. She began her career quite literally in the school of hard knocks, spending her summers as a door-to-door saleman and manager in the Southwestern Summer Work Program during college. She was a top salesperson her first year and began recruiting, interviewing, managing and training sales teams at the ripe old age of 19. After Southwestern Alecia took a brief turn at inside sales and eventually found her way to a professional training company. She completed over 30,000 cold calls before she was 30 and had designed and delivered customized training to thousands of participants.
In 2004, she launched MAVERICK & Company and has gone on to become a nationally recognized speaker and trainer, working with a wide range of organizations from sports to construction to finance to health care to non-profits and of course, sales. Combining her intense sales and management experience with her academic background studying linguistic theory, Alecia has developed innovative programs and models for influencing performance and created a distinct methodology for selling and marketing professional services. People like to say she is "kind of a big deal" because, well, she is kind of a big deal.
...& COMPANY
Our "& Company" has included a range of talented coaches, psychologists, speakers as well as a couple of very bright and one very creatively dressed intern. Currently collaborators are brought in on an as needed basis to assist with major projects. We are also currently accepting applications for our Summer 2011 Internship Program. Applicants accepted into our program have the chance to head real projects and typically get real world experience serving clients.
